Stephen Hawking
He is certainly one of the greatest minds that ever lived and celebrated but I often wonder what made him different and why was he put in such a high stature?
Firstly, thinking about the universe is really really hard, imagining it is even harder and proving its existence through theory & mathematics is hardest
I read 'A brief history of Time' and I had to put down the book several times just to contemplate what he said and brave as I think I am, I am reading his last paper before he passed away - 'A smooth exit from eternal inflation?' here is the link to the paper: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1707.07702.pdf
I probably need to read several books to understand what 'eternal inflation' is
